We got news this week that after a successful Article 5 interview we also have the associated signature, and that the paperwork for this bit has been picked up, translated, and is in "authentication." (I don't know what that means specifically.) This should be completed by Tuesday or Wednesday of next week, and from there it can go directly to the MOJ for final approval. Apparently it can take about a month to get through the MOJ, but after that, they can set up the court date.
It's a minor step, but still puts one more thing on the "done" list and one less on the "to-do" list.
The kids and I were talking earlier this week about the passage of time, and Owen guessed that K could be home within 100 days. I tallied in my head, and figured he could be right. So yesterday we made a chart that counts up to 98 days (14 weeks) and have marked some of the significant dates on there to help watch the passage of time (birthdays, the 4th of July, grandma's visit). There are no guarantees from anyone, but if the process after our return home from visiting K goes in a "typical" time frame (4-5 months), then K really could be home in fewer than 100 days!
