I know some of you are wondering what's been going on with the house. The answer is...nothing! After one day of work last week, the footings were poured and gravel spread where the slab will be poured eventually for the floor on Monday, and then...nothing. Our framer was supposed to be able to start framing up the walls today (we're doing wood foundation walls for a variety of reasons that Matt can explain better than I can! One is better insulation, one is easier to finish the interior since it will be finished living space, and one other is that it was something Matt could do by himself way back when he was going to do most of the framing.) But with all the rain yesterday, his schedule has gotten pushed back, so he's hoping now to be able to make it over here tomorrow with his crew. It would be nice to get to the middle of the month with *three* work days instead of just two. ;)
So that's the update today.
